All local councillors are idiots!

A quote I read recently on social media. A quote given maybe by someone who may or may not know any local councillors, who knows?, so how can we judge if the quote is true or not?

To change this, several options exist:

1) Stand to be a local councillor – so that we do not have idiots!
2) Get to know your local councillor, who did get elected, and decide for yourself if all local councillors are idiots!
3) Ignore your local councillors, ignore local democracy and ignore any contribution you can make to how your local area looks, acts and what values your local community can generate.
