Yesterday 02nd January introduced a 2.7% increase in rail fares for train users, today 03rd January it is reported that rail bosses awarded themselves above inflation pay increases for train services that increasingly are overcrowded and unreliable.

Enough is enough…

How much more pain must train users endure especially in Bedford Borough when the Government are still proposing taking away inter-city services to the north of Corby and increasing train time journeys to London by reducing the intercity train services.

In Bedford, the Liberal Democrats will be fighting against these rail fare increases and making an argument for the East-West rail route to come into Bedford, re-instatement of the inter city train services, deliver a Wixams train station and campaign for more car parking at Bedford Station.
